After a journey of 90 minutes we arrived at the destination. After a brief introduction about the People’s Trust by the Trust Manager Mr.Harsha and the Motivational talk from the Director Mrs.Anuradha, the students asked to form groups of 4-5. Each group was assigned a few members of the Community workers who are working in the Trust and providing community services to 16 villages. Face to face interaction was established.

Out of the 10 groups made 3 groups ventured into the school premises to interact with the Jovial school kids.

A few ice breaking sessions later the Community workers managed to share their experiences and problems. This helped the teams get a better idea about the lifestyle of the people of Sadenhalli. The major problem areas faced by the people of Sadenhalli include lack of better employment opportunities, basic amenities like proper supply of clean drinking water and poor idea of available career paths etc.

After a brief interaction, lunch was shared among the members of the people’s trust, TREP (Total Residential Educational Program) and the students of CMRIT. Bonds were formed and memories were created over the simple lunch provided.

Outcome:

The interaction proved to be a learning experience for many students and the student teams that were formed brainstormed over the prospective innovative solutions to aid the villagers in improving their current lifestyle. The student teams plan to continue finding solutions and brainstorming sessions until the completion of the project.
