Google IoT Platform & Cyber Security Workshop

This workshop is concerning about the fundamentals of Internet of things(IOT) concepts and cybersecurity awareness

The main objective of this workshop is to make the students conceptually and practice about the IOT and cybersecurity.This workshop was conducted two sessions followed by IOT and Hacking.


SESSION 1: Internet of Things


Mr.Mathankumar (R&D)Engineer of Geomeoinformatics company has delivered a keynote about how to examine the IOT platforms like Hardware,Device management,connectivity,Method of connnectivity,Types of service.


He started the idea of how to develop the  prototype which allows to discover the minimum parameters needed for IOT project before full deployment. A thorough prototype simulates the basic and most important components of the final IoT product.


The students expand their interaction by reading the status of switches, controlling a small motor, exploring sensors, looking at the range of transmitter and receivers. There is also an open-ended design aspect, where the students get a design challenge and have to figure out a solution.He totally drove us to the future world.

  • How to control any device from anywhere across the world.





Mr.Rohan Cybersecurity Researcher of Geomeoinformatics company has delivered a keynote about the risk factors of an oraganization’s information security.He discussed about the importance of protecting sensitive information and what malicious threats to look out for.


Social engineering is typically defined as an attack that’s based on deceiving users or administrators into divulging information. Phishing, an attempt to acquire sensitive information (passwords, usernames, payment details) from an individual through email, chat, or other means, is a common type of social engineering attack.


Mr.Rohan Ashik has given about the pro tip about how to avoid phishing and social Engineering attacks.He make the participants to engage in finding the vulnerablities of Device security and physical security.
